VOTING LOCATIONS

VOTING IN PERSON

In order to vote, you must be registered at your current TX Address. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the election date. You are eligible to register to vote at age 17 years + 10 months.

You can vote at any vote center within your county of residence. Don't forget to take your approved picture ID to vote with your correct address.

As a reminder, you cannot use your phone in a polling place so be sure you have a list of candidates you wish to vote for as needed. As long as you are in line by the time polls are slated to close, you must be allowed to cast your ballot.

VOTING BY MAIL

Under a new state law, you must include either your Driver’s License/Texas ID Number or the last four digits of your social security number on your application to vote by mail and on your ballot. We recommend including both your license and the last four digits of your social security number to avoid your application or ballot being rejected.

If you wish to vote by mail, you must meet the eligibility requirements and fill out and file an application each calendar year. For more information see your county's election page.

VOTING ACCESSIBILITY

If you have a disability, you have the right to bring the person of your choosing into the voting booth with you to help you. You can bring anyone except your employer, an agent of your employer, or an officer or agent of your labor union. You may also request assistance from the election officials staffing the polling place.

Your polling place should be physically accessible and have accessible equipment that allows you to vote privately and independently. An election officer may give voting priority to individuals with a mobility problem that substantially impairs the person’s ability to move around.

Curbside voting should be available for those who are physically unable to enter the polling place. Signs are posted at each polling location with instructions on how eligible voters can vote curbside. When you arrive, you’ll need to send a text message to the number listed and poll workers will be sent outside to assist you.
